Dal Khalsa reacts sharply to the verbal clash between Rahul Gandhi and Ravneet Singh Bittu, calling both leaders similar and questioning their political legacy.
A Sikh organization has strongly reacted to the recent verbal clash between senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu outside Parliament, making sharp remarks against both leaders and their political backgrounds.
The organization said that, in the eyes of the Sikh community, both leaders are “birds of the same feather” and carry a political legacy rooted in Congress. It alleged that the lineage of both leaders is linked to rulers accused of actions that deeply hurt the Sikh community.
Targeting both leaders, the group claimed that one leader’s grandfather and the other’s grandmother were directly responsible for incidents involving bloodshed of Sikhs. Senior leaders of the organization stated that while Ravneet Singh Bittu may now oppose Congress politically, his family history cannot be separated from past actions against Sikhs.
Addressing the question of whether descendants should be held accountable for the actions of their elders, the organization argued that both Rahul Gandhi and Ravneet Singh Bittu have repeatedly relied on their family legacy to advance their political careers. It added that Rahul Gandhi has consistently drawn political strength from the Gandhi family name.
The statement further alleged that past actions linked to the Gandhi family, including the attack on a major Sikh religious site and the November 1984 violence, have never been followed by a clear and unconditional apology to the Sikh community.
In a sarcastic remark, the organization said that Ravneet Singh Bittu’s recent comments accusing Congress of attacking religious institutions and targeting innocent Sikhs amounted to an indirect admission of the wrongdoings associated with his own family legacy and that of the Gandhi family.
