Punjabi singer Karan Aujla has been making headlines for his live performances, but his February 28 concert in Delhi turned controversial due to alleged mismanagement and overcrowding. What was expected to be an energetic musical night reportedly turned chaotic for many attendees.
The concert was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, where thousands of fans gathered to witness the performance. However, viral videos circulating on social media showed heavy crowding and disorder both outside and inside the venue.
Several attendees claimed that some individuals forcefully entered the stadium, adding to the confusion. Multiple clips showed pushing, arguments, and physical scuffles among audience members. One viral video captured a large crowd outside the box office counter demanding entry bands, prompting police intervention to control the situation.
Social media users also alleged that some individuals snatched passes and wristbands from the counters and resold them at inflated prices. Many ticket holders claimed they were denied entry bands despite purchasing valid tickets. One attendee wrote online that he spent ₹6,000 on a ticket but ended up waiting in long queues and facing mismanagement without a satisfactory experience.
Visuals from the venue showed damage to the box office counter and instances of fights among spectators. In one clip, a scuffle reportedly broke out inside the VIP section, escalating into physical altercations.
Following the incident, several social media users questioned the event management and security arrangements. Some pointed out that the stadium’s capacity is around 35,000 to 40,000 people, and overcrowding may have contributed to the chaos. Others criticized the lack of adequate police presence and crowd control measures.
Interestingly, most fans refrained from blaming Karan Aujla himself. Many praised his performance as energetic and impressive but stated that poor organization overshadowed the overall experience.
The organizers are yet to release an official clarification regarding the incident. The controversy has sparked a broader debate about crowd management and safety standards at large-scale concerts in India.
