Canadian MP Tim Singh Uppal Pays Obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Honoured by SGPC

Tim Singh Uppal Visits Sri Harmandir Sahib

Canadian Member of Parliament and Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Tim Singh Uppal, today paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib, expressing deep reverence and devotion.

He was accompanied by his family and associates, including Kuldeep Singh, President of KNR Group Canada, and Charanjit Singh Mavikalan.

During the visit, officials of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) honoured Tim Singh Uppal at the information centre of Sri Darbar Sahib. SGPC member Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal and Information Officer S. Randhir Singh presented him with a golden model of Sri Harmandir Sahib and a set of religious books as a mark of respect.

On the occasion, Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal stated that Sikhs across the globe have achieved remarkable success through hard work and dedication. He noted that Tim Singh Uppal is among those who have earned recognition in Canadian politics. He warmly welcomed Uppal and his family to the holy shrine.

Speaking at the event, Tim Singh Uppal said that Sri Harmandir Sahib remains a central place of faith for Sikhs worldwide. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bow before the sacred shrine and thanked the SGPC for the honour bestowed upon him.

The visit highlights the deep spiritual connection maintained by members of the Sikh diaspora with their religious heritage and sacred institutions in Punjab.
