ETO Sanctions ₹1.85 Cr Projects in Jandiala Guru

Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government remains committed to strengthening infrastructure across villages and cities, ensuring no region is left behind in terms of development.

This was stated by Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO while approving development projects worth approximately ₹1.85 crore in the Jandiala Guru constituency. He said the approved works would significantly enhance basic civic infrastructure and provide residents with a cleaner, more organised and convenient living environment.

Providing details, the minister said ₹40 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of various streets in Abadi village Gorewal, while another ₹40 lakh will be spent on repairing streets behind Baba Bori Shah Sidhu Avenue. In Ward No. 14, ₹25 lakh has been approved for street and sewerage work behind Grace Public School. Additionally, ₹55 lakh has been allocated for street construction, sewerage and interlocking tiles near Gona Guru’s residence.

A grant of ₹25 lakh has also been released for the modernisation of the cremation ground in Abadi village Gorewal.

The minister said these projects were prepared by the Municipal Council after prioritising public needs. He assured that no compromise would be made on quality and all works would be completed within the stipulated time frame before being dedicated to the public.

Harbhajan Singh ETO further reiterated that Punjab has become the first state in the country to provide facilities such as free education, free electricity, free healthcare services and free travel to its citizens, reflecting the government’s pro-people approach.

He assured that more development schemes would soon be introduced to further strengthen infrastructure in Jandiala Guru constituency.
