Budha Dal Nihang Singhs to Hold Religious March from Gurdwara Ranjitgarh Sahib in Memory of Sahibzadas: Baba Balbir Singh 96 Krodi

Sri Amritsar Sahib, December 20: Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal (Panjvan Takht), under the leadership of its 14th Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh 96 Krodi, will solemnly observe the martyrdom day of the elder Sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Gurdwara Ranjitgarh Patshahi Dasvin, Chhaoni Nihang Singhs, Chamkaur Sahib. The Jathedar appealed to the Sangat to come in large numbers to Chamkaur Sahib and offer heartfelt tributes to these great martyrs.

In a written press statement issued from Gurdwara Bibangarh Sahib, Fatehgarh Sahib, Budha Dal manager S. Paramjit Singh Bajwa conveyed Baba Balbir Singh’s message that the events of this month—Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s departure from Anandpur, the separation of the family, the martyrdom of the elder Sahibzadas and beloved Singhs in the battle of Chamkaur, and the younger Sahibzadas being bricked alive at Fatehgarh Sahib—form a unique and unforgettable chapter of Sikh history. He stressed that it is essential to acquaint the new young generation with this glorious legacy, especially at a time when children, engrossed in modern electronic devices, are becoming detached from such inspiring history.

Baba Balbir Singh said that every home should engage in Gurmat discussions about the tragic yet heroic events that took place in this cold season. He urged that children be trained in horsemanship, spear-play, archery, weaponry, and scriptural learning, and encouraged them to adopt the traditional Sikh attire of chola and dumalla.

He further announced that special Gurmat samagam will be held by Budha Dal from December 21 to 22 at Gurdwara Ranjitgarh Patshahi Dasvin, Chhaoni Nihang Singhs, Chamkaur Sahib, where continuous langar will be served. On December 22, Nihang Singhs will lead a religious procession (mohalla/mahalla) in loving memory of the Sahibzadas.

Baba Balbir Singh stated that the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji are unparalleled, and such examples of martyrdom are not found anywhere else in the world. Keeping in view the historic and spiritual significance of these martyrdom days, he appealed to all political parties not to pollute the atmosphere with mutual accusations or political conferences, but instead to participate purely as members of the Sangat and offer devotion and respect through Gurmat-focused congregations.
