A shocking incident unfolded in Bihar’s Buxar district where a bride shot during her wedding ceremony, leaving her in critical condition. The incident took place in the Chausa Nagar Panchayat area under the Mufassil police station limits.
According to reports, the wedding procession had arrived from Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh. The marriage rituals were underway, and during the ‘Jaimala’ ceremony, when the bride and groom were standing on the stage, a young man suddenly climbed onto the platform and opened fire.
Eyewitnesses said the accused fired indiscriminately, and one bullet struck the bride in the abdomen. She collapsed on the stage, bleeding profusely, triggering panic and chaos at the wedding venue. After committing the crime, the accused managed to flee from the spot.
The injured bride was immediately rushed to a private hospital by family members and locals. Doctors are battling to save her life, but her condition remains critical due to excessive blood loss.
Upon receiving information, the Buxar Police swung into action. Buxar Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya is personally monitoring the case. Preliminary investigation suggests a possible love angle behind the attack.
Police have identified the accused and formed a special team to arrest him. Raids are being conducted at suspected hideouts. The incident has sent shockwaves across Buxar and neighboring Ballia district.
The wedding venue now remains silent, while the family prays for the bride’s recovery as the police continue their manhunt.
