The birth anniversary of Bibi Bhani Ji, wife of the fourth Sikh Guru Guru Ram Das, was celebrated with devotion and reverence at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, associated with Sri Darbar Sahib.
The religious event was organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). On this occasion, the bhog (conclusion) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib was performed. Following this, Hazoori Raagi Bhai Jatinderpal Singh’s jatha from Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib recited Gurbani Kirtan, filling the atmosphere with spiritual devotion. The ardas was offered by Bhai Baljit Singh, while the sacred Hukamnama was read out to the congregation by Kathavachak Bhai Harmitter Singh.
During his discourse, Bhai Harmitter Singh elaborated on the life history and contributions of Bibi Bhani Ji, highlighting her unwavering dedication to Sikh principles and Guru Sahib’s teachings. He emphasized that her entire life was devoted to service, humility, and commitment to Gurmat values.
He also urged Sikh women to draw inspiration from Bibi Bhani Ji’s life and actively work towards connecting their children with GurSikhi and Sikh traditions.
Several prominent officials were present on the occasion, including Sri Darbar Sahib Manager S. Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, S. Jaspal Singh Dhaddae, Additional Manager S. Bikramjit Singh Jhangi, S. Yuvraj Singh, S. Gurvinder Singh Devidas, S. Jasbir Singh, and S. Gurtinderpal Singh Qadian, along with a large number of devotees.
The celebration reflected deep spiritual fervor and reinforced the timeless values of devotion and service exemplified by Bibi Bhani Ji.
