An Ardas Day was observed at Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Khalsa Academy, Mehta Chowk, under the patronage of Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale, head of Damdami Taksal and President of Sant Samaj. The special religious gathering was organized for the success and excellent results of Class 10 and 12 board examinations.
The programme began with the commencement of Sri Sehaj Path at the beautifully adorned Gurdwara Sahib within the school premises. After the bhog ceremony, students of Khalsa Academy performed devotional kirtan. Students from Nursery to Class 12, along with their parents, participated in the Ardas ceremony seeking blessings for academic success.
Punjab Cabinet Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Labour, Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Tarunpreet Singh Sond, attended the event as a special guest. Addressing the students, he encouraged them to pursue their studies with dedication and hard work. He appreciated the remarkable contribution of Damdami Taksal in the fields of religion and education.
Following the Ardas ceremony, the Cabinet Minister inaugurated a newly installed ventilator at Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Khalsa Hospital, strengthening healthcare facilities for the local community.
The event was also attended by Sant Baba Ajit Singh, head of Tarna Dal, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Parmjit Kaur, SDM Majitha Preet Inder Singh Bains, School Director/Principal Dr. Jatinder Sharma, Principal Harshdeep Singh Randhawa, Principal Gurdeep Singh Randhawa, Giani Sahib Singh, faculty members, and students.
