Amritsar, December 23, 2025 – Following directives from Commissioner Police Amritsar, Sri Gurpreet Singh Bhullar IPS, Additional Deputy Commissioner Police Traffic, Smt. Amandeep Kaur PPS, along with Traffic Zone Incharges, regulated traffic by removing illegal encroachments by shopkeepers and street vendors on roads and footpaths at Hall Liberty Market, Four S Chowk, and Majitha Road.
Additionally, nakas were established at various city locations to issue challans to vehicle drivers for violations including black films, bullet firecrackers, triple riding, and others. This ongoing campaign will continue in the future to resolve the persistent traffic congestion problem across the city.
