Air India Suspends UAE, Saudi, Israel & Qatar Flights Amid West Asia Crisis

Air India Suspends Gulf Flights Today

India’s national carrier Air India has issued a travel advisory amid escalating tensions in West Asia, announcing the suspension of all flights to and from several Gulf nations for today.

According to the airline, flights connecting India with the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Qatar have been suspended until the end of the day. The decision comes in view of the evolving security situation and airspace restrictions across parts of West Asia.

In addition to Gulf routes, select Europe-bound flights scheduled for today have also been cancelled. These include:

  • Amritsar to Birmingham
  • Delhi to Zurich
  • Delhi to Copenhagen
  • Birmingham to Delhi

However, the airline clarified that all other flights to North America and Europe will operate as per schedule. These services will use alternative routings over available West Asian airspace, which may result in longer flying times.

Air India stated that it is continuously monitoring the situation and has carefully evaluated multiple parameters, including passenger safety, security considerations, airspace availability, and operational feasibility, before taking this decision.

The airline assured passengers that further updates will be shared following additional assessments as the situation develops.

With rising geopolitical tensions in West Asia affecting global aviation routes, airlines worldwide are reassessing flight paths to ensure passenger safety while minimizing disruptions.
