A 25-year-old Air India air hostess from Mohali met a tragic end under suspicious circumstances in Gurugram after attending a weekend party at a friend’s flat. Simran, who had been with the airline for two years after a stint at Vistara, suddenly struggled to breathe late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
She had joined friends at a gathering in DLF Phase 1, hosted by her friend Neetika at her rented apartment. The group partied into the early hours, but Simran soon faced severe breathing distress. Her friends rushed her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead despite efforts to save her.
DLF Phase 1 police swiftly took custody of the body, sending it for postmortem while forwarding samples to a forensic lab for analysis. “The exact cause of death will emerge from the postmortem report,” a police spokesperson confirmed. Authorities noted Simran lived in Delhi but was visiting for the weekend.
The incident has raised questions about what transpired at the party, with police launching a detailed investigation to uncover the truth behind her sudden collapse.
