Unidentified persons threw acid on a sleeping Gujjar family in their hut in Chhol Chak village near Kasaba Ghuman, severely burning a 7-month-old infant and his mother, with significant damage to bedding and clothes.
Attack Details
Late at night around 12 AM, five to six unidentified individuals attacked Bashir Khan’s family while they slept in their hut. The infant Fariyad (son of Chandi) and his mother Gaggo (wife of Chandi) suffered severe burns and are receiving treatment at a private hospital in Ghuman.
Family Account
Family member Raj Wali stated that due to winter, most members slept with faces covered, limiting injuries mainly to clothes and bedding, averting greater loss of life. One attacker poured acid from two mugs directly on the victims before fleeing.
Police Complaint
A written complaint has been filed at Ghuman police station. The aggrieved family demands swift arrest of the culprits and justice from the police administration.
