ABVP Holds Blood Donation Camp on Martyrs’ Day

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a grand blood donation camp at the university campus on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, commemorating the sacrifices of India’s great revolutionaries Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. The initiative aimed to inspire youth toward national service and social responsibility.

The event was graced by Advocate Dikan Thakur, Himachal Pradesh High Court, as the chief guest, while Ashwani Thakur, All India State University Work In-Charge of ABVP, attended as the guest of honor. The program began with floral tributes offered to the portraits of the martyrs, paying homage to their supreme sacrifice for the nation.

Students and local residents actively participated in the blood donation drive, resulting in the collection of 53 units of blood. Addressing the gathering, Dikan Thakur described blood donation as a noble act and encouraged young people to fulfill their responsibilities toward society through such humanitarian initiatives.

Ashwani Thakur emphasized that Martyrs’ Day should not only be observed as a day of remembrance but also as a day of commitment, urging youth to actively contribute to nation-building and public welfare.

ABVP members stated that the event not only helped those in medical need but also spread a positive social message that even small contributions can play a significant role in nation-building.

At the conclusion of the program, all blood donors were honored with certificates in recognition of their contribution and were encouraged to continue participating in similar social welfare activities in the future.
