CM Sukhu Inaugurates Haroli Festival 2026 in Una

Una: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today inaugurated the State-Level Haroli Festival 2026 at Haroli Ground, Roda, located on the banks of the Sombhadra River. The festival is being held from April 11 to 14.

The Chief Minister performed prayers at the sacred Jyoti of Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple at the riverside venue, marking the ceremonial start of the festival. The event witnessed a vibrant blend of faith, tradition, and cultural enthusiasm.

Dressed in a traditional turban, CM Sukhu participated in the grand procession. The atmosphere came alive with the beats of drums, musical bands, and vibrant cultural performances by folk artists. A large gathering of people reflected the immense enthusiasm for the festival.

CM Sukhu, along with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, greeted the public while riding in an open jeep. Upon reaching the venue, the Chief Minister lit the ceremonial lamp as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the event. He also released the festival souvenir on the occasion.

Extending greetings to the people, the Chief Minister said that the Haroli Festival represents Himachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage and social unity. He added that such festivals strengthen community bonds and reinforce the state’s cultural identity.

He also appreciated the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri for organizing the grand event.

Speaking on the occasion, Mukesh Agnihotri said that the Haroli Festival is a celebration of the people, bringing joy, energy, and unity to the region during the Baisakhi season. He added that the government is committed to promoting both development and cultural heritage across the state.

The first cultural evening featured a lively performance by Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal, who entertained the audience with popular songs. His performance received a huge response, with spectators dancing and cheering throughout the show. Earlier, the Abhigna Band also captivated the audience with a musical performance.

Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included MLAs Rakesh Kalia, Sudarshan Babloo, and Vivek Sharma, former minister and Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Castes Commission Kuldeep Dhiman, former MLA Satpal Singh Raizada, HPSIDC Vice Chairman Anurag Sharma, Himcofed Chairman Vikram Sharma, Ex-Servicemen Corporation Chairman Colonel Manish Kumar, District Congress Committee President Deshraj Gautam, SC Commission member Advocate Digvijay Malhotra, senior Congress leader Ranjit Rana, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal, Superintendent of Police Una Sachin Hiremath, and several other dignitaries.
