Dehra: A tragic road accident shook the Dehra region on Friday after a tractor-trolley carrying pilgrims overturned near Dhaliara. The pilgrims were travelling from the Chintpurni Temple to the Jwalamukhi Temple when the accident occurred on a sharp curve.
Police from Dehra Police Station rushed to the scene and, with the help of local residents, began rescue operations. The injured were taken to Civil Hospital Dehra, where doctors declared three people dead. Several others are undergoing treatment, while those with serious injuries have been referred to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College for advanced care.
According to police, nearly 35 pilgrims, all residents of Punjab, were on board the trolley. The families of the deceased and injured have been informed, and a case has been registered. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
