Government at Doorstep Camp in Una, MLA Resolves Issues

Una/Kutlehar: The Himachal Pradesh government’s ambitious ‘Government at Doorstep’ program was organized in Charada village of Sugadiyal Gram Panchayat in Una district, with Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma as the chief guest.

The event was organized by the Bangana sub-division administration, where the MLA received a warm welcome. Panchayat representatives, dignitaries, and officials from various departments briefed him on the region’s current status and ongoing development works. Residents from six पंचायत (village councils) were invited to present their grievances directly before the administration and elected representatives.

During the program, around 20 written complaints and nearly 10 verbal issues were received. MLA Vivek Sharma immediately directed the concerned officials to ensure prompt resolution. He stated that the relatively low number of complaints reflects the proactive and efficient functioning of the Bangana administration.

The MLA appreciated officials including SDM Sonu Goyal, Block Development Officer K.L. Verma, Tehsildar Amit Kumar, and SHO Rohit Chaudhary for their dedicated work. He noted that issues related to electricity, water supply, and roads have significantly decreased compared to the past.

Addressing the gathering, Sharma said that the state government is committed to serving villages and underprivileged communities, ensuring that welfare schemes reach every household. He emphasized prioritizing rural infrastructure such as roads, clean drinking water, and electricity.

Referring to upcoming Panchayat elections, the MLA urged people to elect honest and energetic representatives who can effectively utilize development schemes and accelerate progress at the grassroots level.

He also mentioned that the region is benefiting from its proximity to the home constituency of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, which is aiding faster development. He reiterated the government’s goal of ensuring that no family is deprived of welfare schemes.

Local residents present at the event appreciated improvements in electricity and water supply, as well as the completion of several road projects.

Several officials and dignitaries, including SDM Sonu Goyal, DSP Ajay Thakur, BDO K.L. Verma, Tehsildar Amit Kumar, SHO Rohit Chaudhary, Agriculture Officer Satpal Dhiman, Jal Shakti Department Executive Engineer Harbhajan Singh, and other community leaders, were present at the event.
