Shimla: The Somnath Mool Jyotirlinga Yatra, organized by the Art of Living, arrived in Shimla today and received a grand and devotional welcome with traditional musical instruments.
On this auspicious occasion, a large number of devotees gathered from Ridge Ground to Padamdev Complex to have the divine darshan of the sacred Somnath Mool Jyotirlinga. The entire atmosphere was filled with devotion and spiritual fervor as participants engaged in chanting mantras and performing religious rituals.
Shimla Mayor Surender Chauhan and Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal were also present during the event. They offered prayers and sought blessings after having darshan of the original form of Lord Somnath.
State Media Incharge Tripta Sharma informed that Swami Virupaksha, Swami Ramanand, and Vedic scholars from the ashram conducted sacred rituals and Vedic chanting, transforming the historic Ridge Ground into a spiritually vibrant space.
She further stated that the main objective of the Yatra is to spread the message of peace, harmony, and cultural unity in society. The journey, which began from Chamba, reached Shimla’s Padamdev Complex today, where thousands of devotees participated with great enthusiasm.
