Amritsar Police Launch 5 New PCR Vehicles to Strengthen Law and Order and Emergency Response

Amritsar Police Adds 5 New PCR Vehicles for Safety

In a significant step toward strengthening law and order and ensuring public safety, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police on Thursday flagged off five new Bolero PCR (Police Control Room) vehicles at Police Lines, Amritsar.

The vehicles were launched under the directions of Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, IPS, and were flagged off by ACP Harminder Singh Sandhu.

Earlier, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police operated 41 four-wheeler PCR vehicles and 25 motorcycles deployed at various locations across the city. With the addition of five new Bolero vehicles, the PCR fleet has been further strengthened.

Following this expansion, a total of 46 four-wheeler vehicles and 25 motorcycles, amounting to 71 PCR vehicles, have now been deployed across Zones 01, 02, and 03 of the Commissionerate Police jurisdiction to improve patrolling and emergency response.

Police officials stated that personnel deployed on these PCR vehicles will respond promptly to complaints received daily through the emergency helpline number 112 at the Police Control Room, Amritsar. The teams will also monitor suspicious activities and keep a close watch on criminal elements within their assigned beats.

The newly introduced PCR vehicles are equipped with modern communication and tracking systems aimed at improving response time and operational efficiency during emergencies. These technologically advanced vehicles will help police teams reach incident locations quickly and provide immediate assistance when required.

The initiative aims to enhance the overall efficiency and performance of the Amritsar Commissionerate Police in handling emergencies and maintaining peace and order across the city.
