Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Himachal Pradesh Vice President Bihari Lal Sharma announced that the party will organize its State Office-Bearers Meeting on April 6 and the State Executive Meeting on April 7, 2026, at Atal Sabhagar in Mandi.
He stated that the two-day event will play a crucial role in strengthening the party organization, finalizing upcoming election strategies, and shaping the roadmap for public outreach movements. Extensive discussions will be held on various organizational aspects as well as the current political situation in the state.
According to Sharma, the April 6 meeting will include sessions of state conveners of party cells, along with meetings of the media, social media, and IT departments, followed by the state office-bearers’ session. The program will begin with ceremonial lamp lighting, the singing of Vande Mataram, and guest welcome.
State BJP President Dr. Rajeev Bindal will present a report on organizational activities, after which discussions will be held on proposed agendas, resolutions, and preparation of future action plans. Special focus will be placed on strengthening the party at the booth level, conducting training campaigns, implementing the SIR campaign at the assembly level, forming organizational cells at the mandal level, and preparing for Panchayati Raj and urban local body elections.
The State Executive Meeting on April 7 will commence with flag hoisting and an inaugural session. The program will include lamp lighting, Vande Mataram, condolence resolutions, and the presidential address, followed by detailed discussions on organizational matters and the prevailing political scenario in Himachal Pradesh. Suggestions and amendments to resolutions will also be considered to finalize a clear political strategy for the future.
Senior BJP leaders expected to attend include State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, BJP National Vice President Saudan Singh, National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, State In-charge Shrikant Sharma, and Co-incharge Sanjay Tandon. BJP leader Anurag Thakur, MP Suresh Kashyap, Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj, along with MLAs, MPs, former candidates, state office-bearers, morcha presidents, district chiefs, and executive members will also participate in large numbers.
Targeting the Congress government, Sharma alleged that development works in the state have stalled while inflation and tax burdens continue to rise. He criticized the government for relying on announcements and publicity rather than effective governance.
He added that through this meeting, the BJP will formulate a comprehensive strategy to raise public issues and intensify its political outreach. Party workers will connect with voters at the booth level to highlight what they described as the failures of the Congress government.
Sharma concluded by saying that the meeting is not merely a formal gathering but a significant platform that will define the political direction of Himachal Pradesh, energize party workers, and lay the foundation for a strong public movement focused on governance and development.
