Panic gripped Amarkot village in the Khemkaran Assembly constituency of Punjab’s Tarn Taran district after unidentified bike-borne assailants opened fire at a medical store, leaving the shop owner’s son injured.
According to initial information, the attackers arrived on a motorcycle and suddenly fired multiple shots at Judge Medical Store before fleeing the scene. During the firing, the son of the medical store owner sustained bullet injuries.
The injured youth was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. His condition is reported to be stable, according to local sources.
Police teams reached the spot soon after receiving information about the incident and launched an investigation. Officials have begun collecting evidence and are reviewing nearby surveillance footage to identify the attackers and determine the motive behind the firing.
