Students of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) brought pride to the institution and the city with an outstanding performance at the 39th Inter-University Youth Festival (AIU) 2025-26, held in Chennai.
The national-level event witnessed participation from nearly 2,500 students representing 145 universities from across India, showcasing their artistic and cultural talents in multiple competitions.
Multiple First Positions Across Categories
Sharing details of the achievements, Dr. Amandeep Singh stated that GNDU students secured first place in several prestigious categories, including:
- Classical Instrumental (Percussion)
- Western Vocal Solo
- Western Group Song
- Mime
The university’s performers impressed judges with their creativity, discipline, and artistic excellence.
Strong Performance in Various Cultural Events
GNDU participants also earned second positions in:
- Folk Dance
- English Speech
- Western Music (Solo)
- Mimicry
Additionally, students achieved third place in Classical Dance and secured fourth position in the Skit competition, further highlighting the university’s strong cultural presence at the national festival.
University Officials Congratulate Winners
Vice-Chancellor Karamjeet Singh honoured the winning students and appreciated their dedication and hard work.
Dean Academic Affairs Prof. H.S. Saini, Registrar Prof. K.S. Chahal, and Dean Student Welfare Prof. Satnam Singh Deol also congratulated the students and team members for bringing laurels to the university.
Officials emphasized that such achievements strengthen GNDU’s reputation as a leading institution promoting cultural excellence alongside academic success.
