Amid rising global tensions and rumors regarding a possible shortage of petrol and diesel in the country, the Amritsar district administration has clarified that fuel supply in the district remains completely normal.
Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Dalwinderjit Singh, District Controller of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Harveen Kaur, held a meeting with sales officers of various oil companies to review the current fuel supply situation in the district.
During the meeting, representatives of different oil companies confirmed that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel supply. Officials stated that misleading rumors circulating among the public have led some individuals to purchase and store excess fuel unnecessarily.
The district administration emphasized that fuel availability across Amritsar district is stable and sufficient. Authorities appealed to residents not to believe or spread rumors and to avoid panic buying or hoarding petrol and diesel without need.
The administration further assured citizens that continuous monitoring of fuel supply is being carried out to ensure smooth availability and prevent any inconvenience to the public.
