Sukhna Lake Closed to Public Ahead of Chandigarh Air Show; Entry Only With Tickets

Sukhna Lake Closed for Chandigarh Air Show

In view of the upcoming air show, Sukhna Lake has been completely closed to the general public from Thursday afternoon until the afternoon of March 28, the administration announced.

During this period, entry into the lake premises will be strictly restricted, and only visitors holding valid tickets will be allowed access.

All Tickets Already Booked

According to officials, all tickets for the air show at Sukhna Lake have already been fully booked. Special arrangements have been made to ensure smooth management of the event and crowd movement.

Special Parking and Shuttle Service

The administration has set up parking facilities at seven different locations across the city. From these designated parking points, spectators will be transported to Sukhna Lake through shuttle buses operated by the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU).

After the event concludes, visitors will be dropped back at the same parking locations.

Strict Entry Arrangements

Authorities have implemented strict entry protocols for security and crowd control. Every visitor’s ticket will be scanned before boarding the shuttle buses.

Additionally, each attendee will be provided with a wristband displaying their stair or seating number. Seating arrangements at Sukhna Lake will be organized according to these assigned numbers.

Officials have urged citizens to follow guidelines and cooperate with authorities to ensure the successful conduct of the air show.
