A shocking incident has surfaced from Kharar in Mohali, where the gunman of Shiv Sena (Hind) president Nishant Sharma allegedly shot himself, leaving him critically injured.
According to initial information, the incident took place at Gulmohar Society in Kharar. The gunman reportedly fired at himself using his licensed weapon and collapsed on the spot soon after the gunshot.
Shifted to PGI Chandigarh
Local residents rushed the injured gunman to a nearby private hospital for immediate treatment. However, due to his critical condition, doctors later referred him to PGI Chandigarh for advanced medical care.
The injured has been identified as Nishan Singh, a resident of Ferozepur.
Possible Reason Behind the Incident
Preliminary reports suggest that the incident may have been triggered by an argument with his wife. Sources said the gunman was talking to his wife over the phone shortly before taking the extreme step.
Police Investigation Underway
Police officials reached the spot soon after receiving information and initiated an investigation. Authorities stated that the exact reason behind the incident will be confirmed only after recording the statement of the injured person.
