The Nehiyaanwala Police recovered a stolen pistol from Bathinda, connected to the Rana Balachauria murder case. During the investigation, Gurmel Singh was arrested, and the pistol was seized from his possession.
According to police reports, the same pistol used in the Rana Balachauria murder had been stolen and later recovered from Gurmel Singh. Investigations revealed that Gurmel Singh had stopped a motorcyclist and robbed him of cash, a mobile phone, and the motorcycle at gunpoint. This incident led police to important clues about the pistol.
Authorities are now investigating whether Gurmel Singh has any direct or indirect connection to the Rana Balachauria murder case. Currently, he is in police custody along with the recovered weapon, and further in-depth investigations are underway.
