Four suspended Special Task Force (STF) police personnel have been arrested in connection with a ₹1 crore LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) drug trafficking case. The arrested officers include two head constables and two constables, all residents of Kullu district.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Abhishek informed during a press briefing that the investigation revealed the accused officers, posted in Kullu, released suspects after their initial arrest involving LSD and later became involved in drug trafficking themselves.

The arrested personnel have been identified as Rajesh Kumar (Manali), Sameer (Bhuntar), Nitesh (Bajora), and Ashok Kumar (Bashing). Police investigations also uncovered that the LSD consignment was initially brought to Kullu, where the entire network operated.

Following the exposure of the case, all four officers were suspended on March 16, 2026, and posted to the Police Headquarters in Shimla. After their arrest, the accused are scheduled to be produced in court on Friday. Police officials indicated that further interrogation may lead to additional significant revelations in the case.

Shimla Police reiterated that law enforcement agencies remain vigilant against internal misconduct and criminal activities, emphasizing that no individual, irrespective of position, will be allowed to compromise public safety.
