DC Anupam Kashyap Reviews LPG, Fuel Supply Situation in District

Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap on Thursday reviewed the supply of LPG cylinders in the district through a video conference meeting with gas supply companies.

The DC directed that commercial LPG cylinder distribution must follow government-set priorities, ensuring uninterrupted supply to hospitals, schools, colleges, hotels, restaurants, and homestays. He clarified that there is currently no shortage of domestic LPG, petrol, or diesel in the district and supplies are continuing smoothly. Citizens were advised not to engage in unnecessary stockpiling of essential fuels.

He stated that the district administration is maintaining close coordination with oil marketing companies and continuously monitoring the situation to ensure uninterrupted availability of essential commodities. The DC appealed to residents to maintain calm and cooperate with the administration.

All Sub-Divisional Magistrates have been instructed to hold daily meetings with petrol pump operators and gas agencies in their respective areas, assess the situation regularly, and submit daily reports in a prescribed format. Authorities are also inspecting hotels, restaurants, and commercial establishments to prevent the use of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes.

The DC further emphasized that diesel availability must be ensured for machinery involved in major development projects so that no infrastructure work is disrupted.

The meeting was attended by AC to DC Devi Chand Thakur, District Controller (Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs) Narendra Dhiman, DSP City Gulshan Negi, FSO Anita Thakur, and other officials.
