Gharinda Police received secret information that a heavy object, resembling a drone, had fallen in a wheat field near the drain adjoining village Nehta. Acting swiftly on this tip-off, a special search team was formed by Gharinda Police and a search operation was conducted at the mentioned spot.
During the search, the team recovered a broken drone and a heavy package wrapped in yellow tape. Upon examination, the package was found to contain heroin. After weighing, it was confirmed that the recovered heroin amounted to a total of 8 kilograms.
In this regard, FIR No. 414 dated 19.12.2025 has been registered at Police Station Gharinda under Sections 21, 23, and 28 of the NDPS Act, 1985, and Sections 10, 11, and 12 of the Aircraft Act, 1934. The investigation into the case is actively underway.
The police have stated that a detailed probe is being conducted from every possible angle, and strict legal action will be taken against anyone found involved in this case.
