Acting on a tip-off, Punjab Police conducted a raid at a salon operating under the name ‘Fashion Salon’ in Zirakpur, uncovering alleged immoral activities being carried out on the premises.
According to ASP Gajalpreet Kaur, the police team found no salon-related equipment or materials inside the establishment. Instead, the premises had multiple rooms, which were allegedly being used for prostitution. During the raid, police recovered objectionable material and contraceptives from the spot.
Four girls were rescued from the location, while the salon owner has been taken into custody for questioning. Police have initiated legal proceedings under relevant sections of the law.
Officials have urged citizens, particularly youngsters, to stay away from such illegal activities. The officer emphasized that such crimes thrive on demand and appealed to the public to report any suspicious activity in PG accommodations or nearby areas. The identity of informants will be kept confidential.
A detailed investigation is underway, and authorities are examining the possible involvement of other suspects in the case.
