Himachal’s Vidya Samiksha Kendra 6A Model Praised at National NCERT-UNESCO Conference

HP Vidya Samiksha 6A Model Praised Nationally

Himachal Pradesh’s Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) has emerged as a national model in education governance, earning widespread appreciation at a two-day National Consultation on Strengthening Vidya Samiksha Kendra held in Hyderabad.

The conference was organized by Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Education administrators, policymakers, and technology experts from across India participated in the event.

Himachal Pradesh was represented by Rajesh Sharma (IFS), State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Himachal, who was specially invited to share the state’s innovative governance model and future roadmap.

6A Integration Model Wins Praise

During the consultation, Sharma highlighted how Himachal Pradesh transformed the Vidya Samiksha Kendra from a mere dashboard into a comprehensive data-based governance model.

The state’s RVSK Integrated 6A Dashboard was presented as a model of effective integration of national and state-level initiatives. The 6A Framework includes:

  • Attendance
  • Assessment
  • Administration
  • Accreditation
  • Adaptive Learning
  • Artificial Intelligence

By integrating these six pillars through the Vidya Samiksha Kendra, Himachal Pradesh has significantly improved education governance and learning outcomes.

Himachal Emerges as a “Lighthouse State”

Over the two-day event, Himachal Pradesh was described as a “Lighthouse State” in policy implementation. The state showcased its Swift Chat Platform, which acts as an operational tool for 6A integration.

Through real-time alerts, review indicators, and actionable insights delivered to administrative officers, the platform has strengthened transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in the education system.

Officials emphasized that the Vidya Samiksha Kendra is not merely a data collection center but an AI-supported governance and decentralized review platform capable of driving measurable change.

Improved Learning Outcomes and Accountability

The conference underscored the importance of moving beyond data collection to decision-oriented governance. Himachal’s experience demonstrated that integrating attendance monitoring, competency-based assessments, adaptive learning tools, and school accreditation mechanisms leads to better academic results and stronger administrative accountability.

Participants lauded Himachal Pradesh’s 6A integration initiative as a guiding model for other states. The Vidya Samiksha Kendra’s success is now being viewed as a transformative direction for education reform across India.
