Under the Punjab Government’s ongoing ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign, police authorities have intensified operations against drug traffickers in the Raja Sansi constituency.
Station House Officer Joginder Singh, in-charge of Ram Tirath police post, stated during a press interaction that strict surveillance is being maintained in the area following firm directions from Neeraj Kumar, DSP Attari. He emphasized that no drug smuggler will be spared under any circumstances.
As part of the crackdown, multiple search operations have already been conducted in several villages under the CASO (Cordon and Search Operation) strategy. Acting on confidential information, police teams are closely monitoring suspicious activities and taking swift action against those involved in illegal narcotics trade.
Joginder Singh appealed to the public for active cooperation, urging residents to immediately inform the police if they notice any drug-related activities in their surroundings. He highlighted that community support is crucial in eliminating the menace of drugs from society.
The officer further informed that the rural police have played a proactive role in admitting several youth affected by drug addiction to government hospitals for treatment and rehabilitation. Authorities reiterated their commitment to safeguarding Punjab’s youth from falling deeper into substance abuse.
The intensified drive reflects the state government’s resolve to wage a united battle against narcotics and protect future generations from the growing drug crisis.
