India and Israel have strongly condemned terrorism in all its forms, reaffirming their commitment to combat global terror threats during the 10th meeting of the India-Israel Joint Working Group on Counter Terrorism held in New Delhi yesterday.
The Indian delegation was led by Dr Vinod Bahade, Joint Secretary for Counter Terrorism at the Ministry of External Affairs. The Israeli delegation was headed by Nadav Eschar, Head of Bureau, Strategic Affairs Division, Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, both countries denounced the 7 October 2023 terror attack in Israel and the 22 April 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, along with other recent incidents, stressing the urgent need to hold perpetrators accountable.
The delegations highlighted emerging threats such as terrorist recruitment, misuse of technology, terror financing, and the growing use of unmanned aerial vehicles, drones, and artificial intelligence in terror operations.
To strengthen counter-terrorism cooperation, both sides agreed to enhance training programs, cybersecurity measures, best practice exchanges, information sharing, law enforcement coordination, and judicial collaboration.
Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to act in multilateral forums, including the United Nations and the Financial Action Task Force, to combat terrorism globally. The next meeting of the Joint Working Group on Counter Terrorism is scheduled to be held in Israel.
This meeting underscores India and Israel’s deepening strategic partnership in security and counter-terrorism, reflecting shared responsibility against evolving global threats.
