(GMC) Handwara has been immediately suspended following the circulation of a viral video. The footage depicts a patient being unceremoniously placed on a trolley outside the hospital facility.
The doctor, who also held additional charge as hospital security in-charge, has been placed under suspension pending a fast-track inquiry. A five-member committee comprising senior doctors and administrators has been directed to investigate the incident and submit its report within one day.
The Medical Superintendent has issued orders to ensure accountability and probe the circumstances captured in the video, with copies forwarded to higher health authorities and district administration. Hospital administration stated that further action will be determined based on the inquiry findings.
