The Punjab Government’s Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs will organize a three-day ‘Rangla Punjab’ Festival in Amritsar from February 27 to March 1, 2026. The festival aims to promote Punjab’s rich cultural heritage, lifestyle, and traditional cuisine at a global level.
Deputy Commissioner Dalwinderjit Singh informed that the district administration has already formed various departmental committees to ensure the successful organization of the event. The festival will be held at the grounds in Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar.
He stated that the three-day event will be dedicated to Punjab, Punjabi language, and Punjabi culture. Visitors will get to witness vibrant displays of Punjab’s traditions, heritage, crafts, and way of life.
A major attraction of the festival will be a beautifully curated craft bazaar, where shopkeepers will set up stalls offering traditional Punjabi items and handicrafts. A special food court will also be arranged, allowing visitors to enjoy authentic and delicious Punjabi cuisine.
The Deputy Commissioner further added that renowned Punjabi singers and artists will perform live during the festival, entertaining the audience with musical evenings. Traditional folk performances including Giddha and Bhangra will also be showcased, adding to the festive spirit.
Importantly, entry to the Rangla Punjab Festival will be completely free for the public. The administration has appealed to residents of Amritsar and people across Punjab to attend the festival on February 27, 28, and March 1 to celebrate and experience the vibrant essence of Punjabiyat.
The event is expected to attract large crowds and further strengthen Amritsar’s position as a major cultural and tourism hub in Punjab.
