Former Punjab Deputy CM Om Prakash Soni Slams State Govt, Predicts Congress Comeback in 2027

Om Prakash Soni Targets Punjab Govt

Former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Om Prakash Soni held a meeting with Congress party workers at his residence, which soon turned into a large public gathering.

Addressing the crowd, Soni strongly criticized the Punjab government, alleging that it has failed on every front. He claimed that the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated significantly, with incidents of murder and extortion reportedly on the rise. According to him, people are afraid to step out of their homes late at night due to growing insecurity.

Soni further stated that the present government has failed to maintain even the development works initiated during the Congress regime. He asserted that the progress achieved under Congress leadership has not been sustained.

Taking a political stance ahead of the next assembly elections, Soni said that although people voted for change, they are now disillusioned. He expressed confidence that in 2027, Punjab will once again witness the formation of a Congress government and that peace and stability will be restored in society.

Several Congress leaders and local representatives were present at the gathering, showing solidarity and support for the party’s future plans.

The meeting signals an early political mobilization by Congress leaders as the state gradually moves toward the 2027 electoral battle.
