India has strongly condemned Pakistan’s reported airstrikes on Afghan territory that allegedly resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children, during the holy month of Ramadan.
Responding to media queries, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal described the strikes as “another attempt by Pakistan to externalise its internal failures.” He emphasized that targeting Afghan territory and causing civilian harm is deeply concerning.
India reiterated its firm support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of Afghanistan. The statement reflects New Delhi’s consistent position on respecting international borders and ensuring regional stability.
The development comes amid rising tensions in the region, with the incident drawing international attention due to the reported loss of innocent lives during Ramadan — a period regarded as sacred by Muslims worldwide.
India has maintained that peace and stability in Afghanistan are critical for the broader security of South Asia. The Ministry of External Affairs underscored that any actions undermining Afghanistan’s sovereignty could further destabilize the region.
