New Delhi: The Secretariat of the Delhi Legislative Assembly has issued summons to Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav in connection with the alleged Atishi video matter.
Along with the Punjab DGP, Additional Chief Secretary Alok Shekhar and the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, have also been directed to appear before the committee on February 27.
According to official communication, the concerned officers have been asked to submit their written replies and appear personally before the committee on the specified date.
The Secretariat clarified that matters related to privilege proceedings are of a personal nature. Therefore, the responses must be given by the respective अधिकारियों in their personal capacity.
The development has added a new dimension to the alleged video controversy involving Atishi, drawing attention to the inter-state administrative and political implications of the case.
