A 250-year-old ancient shrine of the Jai Krishnan tradition, Jai Krishnan Temple located in Chowk Passian, is set to organize its annual spiritual festival with great devotion and enthusiasm.
Speaking to the media, Temple Director Darshanacharya Dr. Sagar Muni Shastri informed that the first event will be held on February 28 within the temple premises, while the main celebration will take place on Sunday, March 1, at AS Farm on Batala Road.
To prepare for the grand event, a public meeting was organized at the temple where Shastri Ji assigned responsibilities to staff and volunteers to ensure smooth arrangements. During the celebrations, a special sacred tribute will be offered to Shri Govind Prabhu Maharaj of the Khamnikar lineage, while rituals dedicated to the deities of the Talegaonkar Mahanubhav tradition will be performed by Shri Bobby Sethi.
Upadhyaya Amanya Mahant Shri Shevelikar Baba will preside over the event. The program will feature Sankirtan, spiritual discourses, Mangal Aarti, felicitation ceremonies, community meals (Bhoj Daan), a Krishna Leela-based theatrical performance, flag hoisting, Abhishek rituals, repentance ceremonies, a valedictory function, and the Panchavatar festival.
Acharyas of the Mahanubhav Sampradaya and prominent personalities from the political field are expected to attend. A large number of devotees from the Jai Krishnan community are likely to participate.
Temple management has stated that extensive preparations are underway to ensure the successful organization of the annual festival. Key workers present at the preparatory meeting included Anjana Luthra, Neelam Mahajan, Kimtilal Gulati, Dev Das Bawa, Lalit Chopra, Shubh Sareen, Amit Shingari, Gautam Sareen, Arun Chauhan, and other devotees.
The annual festival continues the temple’s long-standing tradition of promoting religious values and social upliftment through spiritual gatherings.
