Jagmohan Singh Raju, BJP state general secretary and former IAS officer, has written a strongly worded letter to Arvind Kejriwal, urging him to remove Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over the deteriorating situation in the state.
In his letter, Raju highlighted multiple concerns, including rising crime, drug abuse, gang violence, and administrative failures. He stated that the recent brutal murder of a party worker in Tarn Taran forced him to write the letter, emphasizing that the situation in Punjab no longer allows for mild language.
Raju alleged that under Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, governance has weakened significantly. He pointed out that murders are becoming frequent, with even ruling party members not being spared, indicating growing confidence among criminals.
Addressing the drug menace, he claimed that narcotics networks are destroying families and the future of Punjab’s youth, forcing many to leave the state. He also raised concerns over widespread gangster activity and extortion, stating that law and order has collapsed across Punjab.
The BJP leader further criticized the government’s response to recent floods, calling it slow and inadequate, leaving affected families struggling. On agriculture, he noted that farmers continue to face hardships, including poor compensation for crop losses and lack of long-term planning.
Raju also accused the administration of increasing corruption at both local and bureaucratic levels, calling it a betrayal of the clean governance promised by the Aam Aadmi Party.
Concluding his letter, Raju stated that Bhagwant Mann has failed on all fronts and warned that retaining him as Chief Minister would further damage Punjab and the party’s credibility. He urged Kejriwal to act immediately and appoint leadership capable of restoring governance, stability, and public trust.
