Zelenskyy Says Geneva Talks with US, Russia Not Sufficient

Zelenskyy Geneva Talks Outcome Not Enough

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the outcomes of the recent trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia in Geneva were not sufficient to resolve key issues surrounding the ongoing war.

In a social media post, Zelenskyy stated that sensitive political matters, including possible compromises aimed at ending the conflict, were not adequately addressed during the discussions. He added that further engagement is necessary and confirmed that the next round of talks will take place later this month.

The Geneva meeting is part of continuing international diplomatic efforts, mediated by the United States, to secure a negotiated settlement to the war between Ukraine and Russia. The conflict began in February 2022 and has since resulted in significant geopolitical and humanitarian consequences.

The latest discussions in Geneva followed two earlier rounds of US-brokered negotiations held in the United Arab Emirates in January and early February this year.

Diplomatic observers say the upcoming meeting will be crucial in determining whether meaningful progress can be achieved toward a ceasefire or broader political settlement.
