The Kullu district administration organized a farewell and welcome ceremony at the Multipurpose Building to honor outgoing Deputy Commissioner Torul S. Ravish and welcome newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Anurag Chandra Sharma.
The event was conducted in a cordial and emotional atmosphere, attended by senior officials and staff members of the district administration.
Ravish Reflects on Memorable Tenure
Addressing the gathering, Torul S. Ravish described her nearly two-year tenure in Kullu as pleasant, productive and memorable. She highlighted the strong coordination and team spirit among various departments, officers and employees, which ensured effective implementation of administrative responsibilities and public welfare schemes.
She also expressed gratitude to the residents of the district for their cooperation and support during her tenure.
New DC Outlines Development Priorities
Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Anurag Chandra Sharma said that Kullu holds special importance due to its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, horticulture and tourism potential. He assured that priority would be given to the district’s overall development in coordination with all departments.
Sharma emphasized that ensuring timely and transparent delivery of government schemes to eligible beneficiaries, strengthening infrastructure and accelerating development projects would remain his key priorities. He also underlined the importance of resolving public grievances efficiently.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, officials and employees appreciated the contributions of Torul S. Ravish and extended their best wishes to Anurag Chandra Sharma for his new responsibility.
