Aligarh Woman Who Eloped with Son-in-Law Now Allegedly Flees with Brother-in-Law

Aligarh Elopement Case Takes New Twist

A sensational family dispute in Aligarh has taken a fresh turn after a woman, who had earlier eloped with her son-in-law, is now accused of running away with her brother-in-law.

Nearly 10 months ago, the woman allegedly left her home with her son-in-law Rahul, who is said to be 11 years younger than her. The incident had created widespread controversy at the time.

According to a recent complaint filed by Rahul at the Dadon police station, his partner Anita Devi alias Sapna left their residence on February 6, 2026, along with her brother-in-law Devendra. Rahul alleged that she took around ₹2 lakh in cash, a mangalsutra, and two rings with her.

Rahul claimed that he and Anita had been living together as husband and wife in the Bela police station area of Sitamarhi district, Bihar, for the past 10 months. On the morning of February 6, he stepped out for his routine walk, and upon returning, he discovered she had left with Devendra.

However, Anita has denied the allegations, stating, “I have not run away with anyone,” and accused Rahul of making false claims.

Police are reviewing the complaint and investigating the matter. The case continues to generate attention due to its unusual family dynamics and repeated allegations.
