Renowned Kabaddi player Gopi Farandipuria has officially joined the Shiromani Akali Dal during a party rally held in Amarkot town of the Khemkaran Assembly constituency.
The induction took place in the presence of party president Sukhbir Singh Badal, who welcomed the celebrated sports personality by honoring him with a traditional siropa.
Gopi Farandipuria is widely recognized in Punjab’s Kabaddi circuit and enjoys strong grassroots popularity. His entry into the Shiromani Akali Dal is being viewed as a strategic move by the party to strengthen its outreach among youth and sports communities in the region.
