The chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Mohan Bhagwat, is set to visit Punjab on a two-day tour starting February 25. The visit is part of the nationwide campaign marking the centenary year of the organization.
During his Punjab visit, Bhagwat will participate in interactive programs with different sections of society.
On the first day, February 25, he will arrive in Pathankot, where he is scheduled to address a gathering of former army officers from 10:15 am to 12:00 noon. Later in the evening, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, he will interact with youth volunteers of Pathankot district and address them.
On February 26, Bhagwat will travel to Ludhiana to attend a prominent citizens’ conference. The event will be held from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm and is expected to witness participation from distinguished individuals belonging to various fields.
According to state Sanghchalak Iqbal Singh, the visit aims to promote the RSS’s “Five Transformations” agenda among different sections of society and to strengthen organizational communication. He added that during the centenary year, RSS leadership is continuously traveling across the country to engage with diverse social groups and expand dialogue.
The Punjab tour is seen as an important outreach initiative as part of the organization’s nationwide centenary celebrations.
