Ravneet Singh Bittu Lays Foundation Stone of ROB in Doraha

Bittu Lays Foundation of ₹70 Cr ROB in Doraha

Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of a Railway Over Bridge (ROB) in Doraha town of Ludhiana district.

The project, estimated to cost around ₹70 crore, had been pending for several years. The ROB is considered a crucial link for the four-lane road project connecting towards Ropar, which had been delayed due to the absence of this bridge. With the formal commencement of construction, the long-stalled project is now expected to gain momentum.

Addressing a press conference, Bittu shared detailed information about the project and highlighted its importance for the region. He stated that once completed, the bridge will significantly ease traffic congestion and boost infrastructure development in and around Ludhiana and Doraha.

During the media interaction, the Union Minister also launched sharp political attacks on opposition parties. He further raised concerns over the recent bomb threat incidents in Punjab and criticized the state government over law and order issues.

The Railway Over Bridge is expected to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and enhance road safety for daily commuters and transporters using the route.
