PM Modi to Meet French President Macron in Mumbai Today

Modi, Macron Meet in Mumbai for Strategic Talks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai today to review the progress of the India-France Strategic Partnership and discuss key regional and global issues.

President Macron has arrived in India on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi to participate in the AI Impact Summit. This marks Macron’s fourth visit to India and his first visit to Mumbai.

During their meeting, the two leaders are expected to assess ongoing cooperation across defence, trade, climate action, and technology sectors, while exploring new and emerging areas to further strengthen bilateral ties.

In the evening, Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation 2026. They will also address a gathering of business leaders, start-ups, researchers, and innovators from both countries, aiming to deepen collaboration in innovation, digital transformation, and advanced technologies.

The visit underscores the growing strategic convergence between India and France and highlights their shared commitment to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
