Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai tomorrow to review progress under the India-France Strategic Partnership and discuss key regional and global issues.
President Macron will be on a three-day official visit to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi to participate in the AI Impact Summit. This marks Mr Macron’s fourth visit to India and his first visit to Mumbai.
During their meeting, the two leaders are expected to assess ongoing cooperation across defence, trade, climate action, space, and technology sectors. Talks will also focus on expanding collaboration into new and emerging areas, including artificial intelligence, innovation ecosystems and advanced technologies.
In the evening, Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation 2026. The leaders will also address a gathering of business leaders, start-ups, researchers and innovators from both nations, highlighting opportunities for deeper economic and technological engagement.
The visit is seen as a significant step toward strengthening bilateral ties and reinforcing the long-standing strategic partnership between India and France amid evolving global dynamics.
