Press Sangharsh Marks 14th Anniversary in Amritsar

The Press Sangharsh Journalists Association celebrated its 14th annual anniversary with a state-level journalists’ seminar held at BBK School, Tarn Taran Road, Amritsar. Journalists from across Punjab and neighboring states participated in the event, marking a significant gathering of the media fraternity.

The seminar was presided over by National President Sanjeev Punj. On the occasion, an EMC Hospital medical team organized a blood donation camp, where journalists and their family members actively donated blood, highlighting a strong message of social responsibility.

The event was inaugurated by Amritsar Mayor Motie Bhateya, who extended his congratulations to the journalist community. Distinguished guests included Surinder Kaur, wife of Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur, Councillor Vikas Soni, Arvinder Bhatti, and Deputy DEO Rekha Mahajan.

During the seminar, several new proposals and ideas were presented before the union leadership. Addressing the gathering, President Sanjeev Punj stated that Press Sangharsh would soon deliberate on these suggestions and take appropriate decisions after due consultation.

On the occasion, the association also released its 2026 calendar and congratulated all members. Hundreds of journalists and prominent members of the press fraternity attended the function, making it a grand success.

The 14th anniversary celebration not only strengthened professional unity among journalists but also reaffirmed the association’s commitment to media ethics, solidarity, and community service.
