In a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through the police department, Woman SHO Jyoti Nayak lost her life in a horrific road accident early this morning in the border district of Sri Ganganagar.
The accident occurred around 5 am near the well-known Durga Temple in the city. According to reports, SHO Jyoti Nayak was on routine patrol duty with her team in a police jeep when a speeding car collided head-on with their vehicle. The impact of the crash was so severe that both vehicles were badly damaged, and the police jeep was completely wrecked.
SHO Jyoti Nayak sustained critical injuries in the collision and was declared dead. The news of her demise triggered a wave of grief across the district police administration.
As soon as information about the accident was received, the Superintendent of Police (SP) along with other senior district officials rushed to the district hospital. Officials described the loss as irreparable for the department and expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of the dedicated officer.
Apart from SHO Jyoti Nayak, another police official and the driver of the car were seriously injured in the accident. Both were immediately shifted to the district hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. A team of doctors is providing them with the best possible medical care.
