Tarun Chugh Slams Congress, Rahul Gandhi Over India–US Trade Deal

Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary Tarun Chugh strongly criticized the Congress and Rahul Gandhi over their remarks on the India–United States trade agreement, accusing them of attempting to mislead the nation without facts whenever India takes bold and visionary decisions.

Tarun Chugh said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has signed historic trade agreements within a short span with major global economic powers such as the United States and European nations. He stated that these agreements have strengthened India’s global standing and enhanced its international credibility.

Highlighting the Centre’s “Nation First” policy, Chugh said the agreement prioritizes national, economic, and strategic interests while opening new opportunities for industries, traders, and youth across the country. He emphasized that the deal reflects India’s growing strength and confidence on the global stage.

Responding to Congress’ claims of misleading farmers, Chugh termed the allegations completely baseless. He clarified that all sensitive agricultural sectors, including wheat, rice, maize, dairy, and animal husbandry, have been fully protected under the agreement. He asserted that there has been no compromise on farmers’ interests and no dangerous import concessions have been allowed.

Chugh further accused Congress and Rahul Gandhi of viewing every national achievement through a narrow political lens and ignoring the progress of a strong and self-reliant India. He also expressed concern over the silence of opposition parties, particularly the Aam Aadmi Party, on the issue.

Stating that the trade agreement brings new opportunities for farmers, traders, and youth in Punjab, Chugh said it would significantly boost industrial growth in the state. Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government, he described the agreement as a historic and far-sighted step that will further strengthen India’s economy.
